
Voice of NOW is a digital community, working to mainstream Pakistani women and youth in national policy discourse. It hopes to train and streamline a progressive, inclusive, aware, responsible, and peaceful Pakistani civil society, organized as a voice of reason and aligned for action towards a welfare state.

Atoofah is a dedicated health care professional and educator, with around a decade of experience working with vulnerable communities, especially women. She is also a Master Trainer and worked on Institutional Capacity building for various public and private health institutes in Pakistan, especially in remote areas of the country. Her focus on community welfare, gender sensitivity and technology enabled health solutions makes her a unique resource for Voice of NOW’s commitment towards women mainstreaming and empowerment.

Talal has worked with British Council Pakistan as Political Advisor and currently pursues a PhD at the University of Melbourne Australia, focused on Digital Rights and Policy in Pakistan. His hands on experience and networking with political actors and public representatives in Pakistan, makes him a wonderful resource to VoNOW. He has around eleven years of experience working on public policy and human rights issues pertaining to Pakistan. Seven years of experience working in an international environment. With excellent research and drafting skills with a proactive approach towards work, he is involved in strategic oversight and programming for Voice of NOW initiatives.
Maryum Tamoor is a research analyst at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI), where she drafts policy papers, organizes events, and engages directly with policymakers. She also served as a lecturer and Research Associate at the School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. She holds an MPhil in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University and has interned with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her research focus is on politics, social and political culture, the foreign policy of Pakistan and India, gender rights, and minority issues. At Voice of NOW she contributes via podcasts, research and policy document editing and analysis.
Noorulain is an Islamabad policy researcher and academic, focused on internal security, forced displacement and foreign policy issues. Her past engagements with public and private research and policy institutions include Stimson Centre Washington DC, Islamabad Policy Research Institute, NUML, NUST, Institute for the Study of Human Rights New York and German Development Aid, GIZ. She initiated and now leads Voice of NOW, with the help of her Advisory Board is working for a digital political ecology in Pakistan where young women and men are aware and vocal about political representation, understand the workings of state institutions. The goal is to train and educate youth to function as a mobilized, cohesive civil society, equipped to engage with the government in a productive and informed way to negotiate for rights and duties.
The Podcast series conceived by Voice of NOW and powered by Freedom Gate Prosperity FGP, aims at reducing gender gap in Pakistan and call out oppressive economic, cultural and social norms and structures that lock women and young men in poverty, violence, and underdevelopment.
Voice of NOW harnesses young potential and disseminates framing of local issues from youth lens. The digital conversations and explainers recorded and conceived young public policy scholars and practitioners at NUST, help dissect and bypass traditional framing of policy and public life related issues in Pakistan.

Voice of NOW, in collaboration with HIVE Pakistan created a policy memo, charting trends of voting preferences in Pakistani youngsters for the general elections held in 2024.
Powered by Erasmus, EU, and in collaboration with NUST department of Government and Public Policy, Voice of NOW brought young students from across Pakistan with Civil Society Actors, Relief workers and Emergency response workers. The event enabled exchange of critical insights on how and why Youth Volunteerism can help Pakistan adapt and mitigate environmental disaster related vulnerabilities.
